Looking for peace of mind? Want to better manage stress? We're all so busy in today's society. There's so much coming at us, and we put so much pressure on ourselves. As a result, we constantly find ourselves in a state of stress, with turmoil in our minds and tension in our bodies. We hardly give ourselves time to catch our breath. And you're not alone. Did you know that 17% of all employees experience burnout symptoms? Find out less
There's nothing wrong with doing many things, but when we consistently exist in a state of stress and tension, we wear ourselves out. Continuous overload eventually takes its toll on everyone, but the way it happens varies from person to person. It can lead to exhaustion, burnout, depression, anxiety, and a myriad of other physical and mental health issues.
Mindfulness is now used for many problems, and it's quite logical to explain why it often has a very positive effect. What underlies most physical and mental health problems is chronic stress. Additionally, it's our automatic response patterns to stress that aren't always helpful, such as addictions, overthinking, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.
Whatever you're dealing with, mindfulness can provide you with a foundation of peace and teach you to cope with stress and unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, and doing. Once you start consciously recognizing those patterns, there's often room to make different choices, choices that are better for your own health and well-being, as well as for others. It also creates space to enjoy your life again, despite any difficulties you may be experiencing.
Experience has shown that everyone takes something different from it. Some find more peace of mind, while others become better at setting boundaries. The MBCT program has been scientifically proven to improve the quality of life in cases of stress, anxiety, depression, and pain, among others. Moreover, it has been found to have a positive effect on many other aspects of life. That's not surprising since stress is at the root of many health problems, whether physical, emotional, or mental.
This is what the training can bring you:
By no longer being carried away by restless thoughts, you find more peace of mind.
By breaking stressful patterns, stress decreases, you gain more energy, and you feel better mentally and physically.
By listening to your body, you learn to take good care of yourself and set boundaries.
By acknowledging and giving space to your emotions and feelings, old pain can be processed, and room is created for positive experiences and joy.
By learning to be kinder to yourself, space is created for self-acceptance as you are.
You regain your strength to make well-considered choices that are good for your well-being and that of others.
The content: what are we going to do?
We will work intensively with the MBCT for Life training for eight weeks, as developed at the University of Oxford (MBCT = Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy). MBCT combines ancient wisdom and exercises from the East with the modern science of cognitive psychology from the West. Over the course of 8 steps, you will be introduced to a range of mindfulness exercises. You will be guided through this with the help of text and audio fragments, step by step. Key points that will be covered include:
Establishing a solid foundation of peace and trust.
Listening to your body and your boundaries.
Being in the here and now using your senses.
Enjoying the beautiful moments in your life.
Recognizing unhelpful patterns.
Being able to be with what is, without losing yourself in it.
Dealing with difficult thoughts and emotions.
Moving from impulsive reactions to wise responses.
Kindness and self-care.
The basis consists of meditative exercises in silence and in movement, interspersed with explanations, inspiring texts, sharing experiences, and some visualizations.
We work in a small group of up to 12 people. You will receive exercises and tips to work on at home, supported by an extensive reader and audio recordings.

What makes this training unique
My strength lies in creating an atmosphere where you can find peace in a short time. My training is based on both science and expertise, as well as personal experience. I know from my own experience how stuck you can sometimes be in old patterns. I know how you can feel, and I know it can be different.
