This kind of yoga class is for everyone. A slow mindful moment to calm your body and mind, but also with a lot of positive impact for the nervous system.
This class consists of several 'yin' poses which will be held for a longer period of time while placing focus on our breath. During this time we are stretching into our deeper connective tissue/fascia to release tension and stress.
After the longer holds, we cosy up and find a lying position (savasana) where we practice Yoga Nidra. Also known as "Yogic Sleep" this practice helps the body fully relax using body awareness and stimulation of senses. Over time, with more regular practice, this form of meditation can help improve sleep, stress management, and relieve anxiety or signs of burn-out.
This is a perfect class for anyone who wants to truly relax and needs a bit of help doing that as well as for those who want to dive a bit deeper into self-awareness and nervous system regulation.
