About me
Hi I am Ferhat, a Rotterdam based jazz singer and voice educator. In 2003, I studied vocal jazz at Istanbul Bilgi University with a scholarship, mentored by Nükhet Ruacan. In 2006 I won “The young jazz singers contest” and “Audience favourite award” within “Nömme Jazz Festival” in Estonia.
I got invited to Paris to sing Ted Curson’s live concert album, released in 2007. I had then joined Ted Curson’s International Band and performed in Europe and USA. In 2014 I moved to the Netherlands to study new singing techniques and sound approaches and earned my Master’s degree at Codarts. I have been a vocal coach for singers of all levels and different genres for the 15 years
