How do you create a good profile on CourseSpots?

A first impression is made in a tenth of a second. So within a single glance someone already has an opinion about you as a teacher, trainer, coach or expert. After that first glance, people start looking for confirmation, they want to know who you are, what drives you, but also to read more about your education and experience. We want you to present yourself in the best possible way and we are happy to help you. (video in Dutch only)

Create a profile

When creating your profile, we ask you to fill in various fields, so that the reader of your profile gets a complete picture of who you are. In any case, make sure that all fields are filled in completely and that the photo you upload with your profile is a clear (happy) portrait photo. 📸😃

Your personal description

An extra tip that we want to give when describing yourself is to make this personal. For example, by indicating what drives you to want to teach, what do you like about this? Also describe what characterizes your way of teaching or coaching. Why should people book a course, lesson or workshop with you? What makes you unique? In addition, it is useful to add keywords in your description that people search for in the search engines. If you are looking for more inspiration about your description, readthis blogwith extra tips that we have written about this.

VOG

We also ask whether you can check VOG or a Declaration of Good Behavior. In principle, this is not mandatory for everyone, but if you want to offer lessons to children, this is a requirement. Putting a check mark means that you are able to issue a VOG if requested by parents who want to book a lesson for their child. If you cannot issue a VOG, this means that you are not allowed to offer lessons to children. You do not need to have the VOG at home, you can request it when applicable.

Personal information

The data you enter is used to give a potential student a good picture on the one hand, but also so that we can contact you. Personal information such as telephone number, e-mail address, address and surname will not be shared, and it is also not the intention to include this information in other texts.

Control and verification by CourseSpots

After you have created your personal profile and added an offer, we will check your data. We do a marketing scan of your profile, here we check and optimize texts because we want you to present yourself as well as possible. We will also schedule an introductory meeting with you to discuss your details together, where you can also immediately raise any questions or ambiguities. After we have checked and approved everything, we will also verify you as a teacher and you will receive a verification check mark in your profile.
